Linda Rechtin is from a small town in Kentucky. She is married to her husband Steve, a wonderful man who spoils her to no end by supporting just about anything she has ever decided to do - and scrapbooking is no exception! She is the mother of her beautiful little two year old daughter Sydney who fills up most of her gallery here at DSP! She has loved all aspects of creating and crafting her whole life and says it all started when she needed clothes for her dollies when she was around 7 years old. Linda knitted them some outfits and then later on, in her teenage years wanted pretty sweaters to wear, so decided to knit them herself. Her hobbies in the past have included knitting, crocheting, sewing, ceramics, porcelain doll making, beading and painting flowers on everything from flower pots to walls!

Linda started paper scrapping in December of 2001 and obsessed over any little scrapping gadget or embellishment she saw. While all of this was so much fun, after about a year, most of her dining room was swamped with supplies so she set up a "scrapping spot" downstairs in her basement. Only problem there, was that she had to make many trips back and forth up and down those stairs just to get one layout created!

When Linda and Steve came home with their baby girl she knew that she could no longer deal with the "mess" of her works in progress on her dining room table anymore. So, one day while sitting at the computer she decided to look into digital scrapbooking.. Digi-scrapping has become her life obsession, allowing her to save all of her family's precious memories in so many wonderful and unique ways. Almost from the start of discovering DSP she knew that designing was what she wanted to do. Linda believes that all of the crafting she has done for all of these years has brought her to this wonderful place in her life now and is SO excited to see layouts created with her own designs!

Tiny Princess Sticker Page kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Marvelous collection of fun and playful papers and elements - the entire tiny princess collection is fun and playful."

by Lynnette Siler
Parisienne Afternoon
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Linda Rechtin hit a home run with this beautiful Parisienne Afternoon kit (there's also a gorgeous Parisienne Evening). The closest I came to an afternoon in Paris was an afternoon in Charleston, SC and it worked for that too. I really loved the watch in the kit and it inspired the theme for my On Time Layout"

by Maureen Hlavacek
Garden Gazebo Page kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Garden kits give such pleasure to digital scrappers. This one is so beautiful - it is so versatile and is a joy to work with. The pink touches are dreamy, and the gazebo is a concept I haven't seen before. It lends itself to thoughts of whimsy and fantasy."

by Leslie Smyers
Penelope Page kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Don't get stuck in the "pink is for girls" rut. This kit is so versatile. Think pink for things you love and things you find attractive. I found that 'Penelope' also goes beautifully with special travel memories."

Parlour Room Blues Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"This kit is perfect with heritage photos. The papers and elements work well together to accomplish an old-time memory feel, soft and a little worn without the dirty look of grunge style papers."

by Shayla Sharp
Parisienne Evening
[4 of 5 Stars]

"This kit is beautiful! I particularly like the silver string and bead elements, as well as the see through ribbon and bow. The papers and elements all are very detailed and give a glamourous, elegant feeling to your layout. Thanks for donating this kit for the nkotb_8 contest, I've seen some awesome layouts using this!!!"

"This is a wonderful kit to work with, so versatile. Its rich and sophisticated but gentle. The textures and patterns blend and contrast depending on your layout mood. Add to this the romantic embellishments with a vintage touch makes it perfect for hertiage layouts too. Highly recommend this one!"
